An unhealthy diet with an overconsumption of bad fats and a sedentary lifestyle increase the risk to develop cancer. Therefore, a healthy and well-balanced diet and an active lifestyle are the prerequisites for a healthy life. Sweeteners and unhealthy sugars commonly used in today’s world facilitate growth of cancer cells, which makes the cancer cells proliferate and spread even faster. Nutrition and diet is even so important after cancer has occurred since most therapies currently applied to treat cancer cause loss of appetite. As a result, patients get undernourished and their already impaired immune system gets even weaker. Hence, a healthy and well-balanced diet at a sufficient level must be maintained to keep the immune system strong during cancer treatment and to get more effective treatment results.
