In our Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery Department, comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment are provided across all areas of plastic and cosmetic surgery. Since physical, psychological, and personal differences can influence treatment choices, each patient is considered as a unique individual. Plastic surgery is a discipline that encompasses both aesthetic (cosmetic) and reconstructive procedures. Aesthetic surgery enhances physical appearance, promoting self-confidence and emotional well-being.
Reconstructive surgery focuses on correcting congenital or acquired deformities to restore both form and function.
Post-Mastectomy Breast Reconstruction Surgeries
Mastectomy, the surgical removal of breast tissue, is the primary surgical treatment for breast cancer. An essential principle of modern oncoplastic surgery is to restore the patient’s breast form during the same procedure. Post-mastectomy breast reconstruction involves recreating the breast using synthetic materials (implants) or the patient’s own tissues after partial or total breast removal. In some cases, both synthetic materials and autologous tissue (muscle or muscle-skin flaps) are used together. Once limited to select breast cancer patients, this procedure is now applicable to nearly all breast cancer cases thanks to advances in surgical technology.
Breast reconstruction is planned based on the type, stage, and extent of breast cancer. For example, in early-stage breast cancer, if mastectomy alone can completely remove the disease, reconstruction can be performed simultaneously. In patients at high risk of recurrence, the surgical approach is planned differently.
Body Contouring Procedures
• Vaser Liposuction: In addition to traditional liposuction, advanced ultrasonic and laser-assisted fat removal technologies are now available. Vaser liposuction uses ultrasound energy to break down fat before extraction. This technique results in smoother skin surfaces and promotes tissue tightening in deeper layers. Because the energy targets fat specifically without damaging nerves or blood vessels, recovery is faster and safer.
• Arm Aesthetics: The upper arms tend to thicken or loosen with age or due to genetic factors. This imbalance can create aesthetic concerns. VASER liposuction removes excess fat in this area, resulting in slimmer and firmer arms.
• Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck): This procedure removes excess abdominal skin and fat while tightening underlying muscles to achieve a flatter abdomen. It can also eliminate stretch marks below the navel, particularly after childbirth. The procedure is suitable for both men and women and can be performed year-round.
• Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammoplasty): This surgery reshapes and reduces excessively large, sagging breasts. Excess breast tissue can cause back and neck pain, shoulder grooving, and skin irritation beneath the breasts. Reduction surgery provides both functional relief and improved body proportion.
• Breast Lift (Mastopexy): This procedure reshapes and lifts sagging breasts, restoring a youthful appearance. Excess skin is removed, and the breast tissue is repositioned. If there is insufficient tissue volume, implants may be added for additional fullness.
• Fat Injection for Breast Contouring: Breast augmentation can be performed with implants or through fat transfer, and in some cases, a combination of both methods — known as composite breast augmentation — may be used. This approach provides a more natural shape and feel.
• Breast Augmentation: One of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgeries worldwide, this procedure is used to correct breast asymmetry, enhance size, and improve shape. The implants used in modern practice are highly reliable and safe.
• Fat Injection: Fat grafting uses the patient’s own fat as a natural filler for facial and body contouring. It is cost-effective, biocompatible, and free of allergic reactions. After processing, the fat can be injected into areas needing volume restoration — such as the face, breasts, or body — improving skin texture and contour. Since the transplanted fat cells survive in the new area, the results are long-lasting. The stem cells contained in the fat also help rejuvenate the skin and underlying tissues.
Facial Aesthetic Procedures
• Rhinoplasty (Nose Aesthetics): The goal of rhinoplasty is to create a natural, proportionate nose that complements the facial features without compromising nasal function. Additional facial procedures, such as chin or cheek augmentation, may be combined to achieve optimal balance.
• Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery): This procedure removes excess skin and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids to create a more youthful and refreshed appearance. Over time, stress and aging cause sagging and puffiness around the eyes, which can ma
